Has been accepted into the Martina Arroyo Foundation young artist program for the Summer of 2013, and will be singing "Crespel/Luther/Schlémil" in Offenbach's Les Contes D'Hoffmann.



Bass-Baritone Richard Bozic was described as having a "mellifluous" voice, with a "strong stage presence that suggest[s] real star quality.” (Opera Magazine, UK)  He was also chronicled as possessing “beauty of tone and august authority...”, and having “exhibited [an] authoritative stage aura”

Mr. Bozic has appeared in productions with Cleveland Opera, Bronx Opera, Verismo Opera of New Jersey,  dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Fairbanks Summer Music Festival, Bethesda Summer Music Festival, and was a Studio Artist in NYC’s renowned Martina Arroyo Foundation, Opera New Jersey's Summer Artist program, and the CoOPERAtive program at the Westminster College of the Arts.

Some of his opera credits include Peter (Hansel and Gretel), Dipsacus (The Poisoned Kiss), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Pistola (Falstaff), Sprecher (Die Zauberflöte), Tom (Un Ballo in Maschera), Don Pedro (Béatrice et Bénédict), and Dr. Grenvil (La Traviata).  Some concert appearances include baritone soloist (Faure’s Requiem), Chief Seattle (Brubeck’s Earth is our Mother), and bass soloist (Beethoven’s Mass in C).  Music theater roles include Captain Georg von Trapp (The Sound of Music), the King (The King and I), and Bill Sykes (Oliver!).

Mr. Bozic earned his Master's Degree from the Peabody Conservatory, where he studied with the celebrated baritone Bill Sharp, and his Bachelor’s Degree at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, OH.  He currently resides in New Jersey where he teaches voice alongside performing.
